Platinum Configuration File Loading Instructions

You will need an existing configuration file—customized for your specific application—saved to the Windows PC desktop or USB flash drive.

Using a PC

Follow the steps below to properly load the configuration using the Platinum Tools application: 

 

1. Load Config

 

2. Open the file you saved

 

3. The configuration file will be automatically applied and the acceptor will restart. You are finished!

Using a USB flash drive

Follow the steps below to update the configuration on your Platinum Bill Acceptor:

1. On a PC, copy the desired .plat configuration file onto a USB flash drive. Ensure that the file name includes the word active (all lowercase).

If “active” is not included, the unit will not perform the update. The naming is case-sensitive.

2. Insert the USB drive into the Platinum USB port. The unit will automatically detect the configuration file and update its settings.

3. Once complete, the unit will reset and begin operating with the new configuration.
