Bill Acceptors: Load a Configuration File

Overview

You will need an existing configuration file—customized for your specific application—saved to the Windows PC desktop or a USB flash drive. If required for your device, ensure all DIP switches are set to the OFF position before proceeding.

Follow the steps below to load the configuration using the appropriate printer or acceptor tools application.

2. Open the saved configuration file

3. Configuration Complete

The configuration file will be applied automatically, and the acceptor will restart. The update is now complete.

Platinum: Load the Configuration File Using a USB Flash Drive

Follow these steps to update the configuration on your Platinum Bill Acceptor using a USB flash drive.

1. Copy the desired .plat configuration file to a USB flash drive. Ensure the filename contains the word active (all lowercase).

Important: If the filename does not include active, the unit will not perform the update. The filename is case-sensitive.

2. Insert the USB flash drive into the Platinum USB port. The unit will automatically detect the configuration file and begin the update.
3. When the update is complete, the unit will automatically restart and begin operating with the new configuration.
