Diagnostic Features
Ensure the Phoenix printer has power to view diagnostics. A green LED on the side of the printer will indicate status through flash codes.
If the LED is solid green, the printer is functioning properly.
If flashing, the code corresponds to an error condition listed below.
Phoenix Green LED Flash Codes
| Flashing Code | Meaning | Corrective Action |
|---|---|---|
| LED always OFF | No power | Check power connection and supply. |
| LED always ON | Printer OK | No action required. |
| 1 Flash | Paper low | Refill the paper roll before it runs out. |
| 2 Flashes | Paper out | Replace the paper roll. |
| 3 Flashes | Paper or print head jam | Clear the jam. Refer to Paper Jam Clearing procedure. |
| 4 Flashes | Print head not locked (Head Open) | Ensure the platen (print head front) is closed properly. |
| 5 Flashes | Printer busy | Wait for the current print job to finish or power cycle the printer if needed. |
| 6 Flashes | Programming error | Reattempt firmware or configuration programming via PC. |
