Entering Diagnostic Mode:

Ensure the bill acceptor has power then press and hold the Diagnostic Pushbutton (left rear of acceptor, viewed from the back) for 1–5 seconds, then release. The front bezel LEDs will flash to indicate a diagnostic code.
⚠️ Holding it longer than 10 seconds puts the acceptor into Configuration Mode. If this occurs, cycle power and retry.
To Exit Diagnostic Mode:
The unit will exit automatically after 30 seconds or press the diagnostic button again for 1–5 seconds.
Front Bezel LED Flash Codes
| Flashing Code | Meaning | Corrective Action |

| LED always OFF | No power | Verify power is properly applied. |
| LED always ON | No errors; unit is OK | None. |
| 1 Flash | Bill path obstruction | Remove cassette & lower transport. Inspect and clean. |
| 2 Flashes | Stacker jam | Remove cassette & lower transport. Inspect and clean. |
| 3 Flashes | Cassette full | Remove and empty cassette. |
| 4 Flashes | Cassette removed | Reinsert cassette. |
| 5 Flashes | Acceptor hardware failure | Replace the acceptor or contact PTI Technical Support to send in for repair. |
| 6 Flashes | Acceptor not enabled | Check host system to ensure it has enabled the acceptor. |
| 10 Flashes | Configuration mode entered | Insert configuration card or cycle power to exit. |
| Rapid Flashing | Detected stringing attempt or dirty anti-stringing sensor | Clean optical sensors on the lower transport (both sides of the bill path). Cycle power after cleaning. |
