Overview
This guide explains how to load a configuration file into a Phoenix printer using the Phoenix Tools application. Configuration files (.phg) are used to apply predefined printer settings for specific kiosk or game applications.
Note: Configuration files are customized for specific applications. Using the wrong file may cause the printer to operate incorrectly.
Requirements
- Phoenix printer connected to a Windows PC
- Phoenix Tools application installed
- A valid Phoenix configuration file (.phg)
- USB cable connected between the printer and PC
- The configuration file saved to the Windows desktop
Load the Configuration File
Step 1 — Click Load Config
Open the Phoenix Tools application and click the Load Config button.

Step 2 — Open the Saved Configuration File
Browse to the configuration file saved on the desktop and select Open.

Step 3 — Click Save
Click Save to apply the configuration to the printer.

Step 4 — Click Close
Click Close when the configuration process is complete.
Completion
Once the configuration file has been saved, the printer will operate using the new settings. You can now disconnect the printer or continue with additional setup steps.
