Overview
This guide explains how to load a configuration file into a Reliance printer using the Reliance Tools application. Configuration files (.rfg) are used to apply predefined printer settings for specific kiosk or game applications.
Note: Configuration files are customized for specific applications. Using the wrong file may cause the printer to operate incorrectly.
Requirements
- Reliance printer connected to a Windows PC
- Reliance Tools application installed
- A valid Reliance configuration file (.rfg)
- USB cable connected between the printer and PC
- The configuration file saved to the Windows desktop
Load the Configuration File
Step 1 — Click Load Config
Open the Reliance Tools application and click the Load Config button.
Browse to the configuration file saved on the desktop and select Open.

Step 2 — Open the Saved Configuration File
Locate the configuration file you saved to the desktop and open it.

Step 3 — Success
Click Okay to confirm the configuration was loaded to the printer.
Completion
Once the configuration file has been saved, the printer will operate using the new settings. You can now disconnect the printer or continue with additional setup steps.
