Overview
This article explains how to configure the internal date and time settings on Phoenix and Reliance printers.
Phoenix Printers
Before configuring the clock, download and install Phoenix Tools .
Phoenix printers are shipped with the battery jumper set to pins 2+3, which disables the onboard battery. To enable the printer's internal Real-Time Clock (RTC), move the jumper to pins 1+2.
Refer to the image below for the jumper location and pin orientation.
After moving the jumper, connect the printer to your PC and open Phoenix Tools. Follow the steps below to configure the internal clock.
- Select Config from the menu on the right side of Phoenix Tools.
- Locate the Phoenix Real-Time Clock setting.
- Click Set Time....
- Select the desired date and time.
- Click Set to save the changes.
- Click Apply in the lower-right corner of Phoenix Tools.
Reliance Printers
Before configuring the clock, download and install Reliance Tools .
Connect the printer to your PC and open Reliance Tools. Follow the steps below to configure the internal clock.
- Select Sentry from the menu on the right side of Reliance Tools.
- Locate the Sentry Timestamp setting.
- Click Set Time....
- Select the desired date and time.
- Click OK to save the changes.
- Click Apply in the lower-right corner of Reliance Tools.
