BluStream Quick Start Guide

QUICK START USER GUIDE 

Step 1 Plug in your BluStream dongle to your Pyramid bill acceptor. 

Step 2 Once your BluStream dongle is plugged in, verify the blue LED is flashing steadily. 

Step 3 From an Android smart phone or tablet with Android OS 4.4 or higher, open the  Bluetooth settings. 

Step 4 In the Bluetooth settings page turn Bluetooth “On” (if not already turned on). 

Step 5 Now with Bluetooth turned on, scan for available devices by selecting “Scan”.

Step 6 While scanning, select Android when it becomes available. 

Step 7 Once selected, and when prompted, enter the Pairing ID “1234” and hit Ok, for older Android models. Newer Android OS revisions once selected will pair automatically and then be shown in your paired devices. 

Step 8 Now that paring has been complete you will need to download and install the  BluStream App from Google Play store.

Step 9 Open BluStream App.

Step 10 Once open, tap the screen to begin searching for your Pyramid bill acceptor. 

Step 11 In the scan screen, when it becomes available, select “Android Unconfigured  device”. 

Step 12 Once you have selected the available Android device you will then be connected  and will be displayed on the home screen of the app. 

Now that you have successfully paired and connected to your Pyramid validator using BluStream you  can begin to explore all the functions that are available to you. These are to include: Configuration,  Flash updating, status reports, as well as requesting the latest firmware for your acceptor.
