1.1  Regularly Suggested Maintenance

We suggest the following maintenance schedule to maintain reliable performance:

Every Roll Change*
Print Head and Roller	Section 1.5	Apply Isopropyl Alcohol with a Lint Free cloth or  a Thermal Printing Cleaning Pen**

Every 5 Roll Changes*
Cutter	Section 1.2	Clean using Compressed Air
Sensors	Section 1.3	Use Compressed Air
Paper Path	Section 1.4	Use Tweezers and/or Compressed Air

Every 6 Months*
Printer Case	Section 1.6	Clean with a lint-free cloth

*This schedule is PTI's recommended schedule based on 450 ft length rolls of paper, however, depending on environmental conditions or particular paper roll length, cleaning may be needed more often.

1.2 Cutter Cleaning

Disconnect Power Cable			Open the printer head by pulling back on the handle

Using Compressed Air, Spray Cutter Area Where Indicated

If There Is Paper Jammed In The Cutter, Use Tweezers To Remove Where Indicated

1.3 Sensor Cleaning

Disconnect Power Cable			Open the printer head by pulling back on the handle

Using Compressed Air, Spray Sensors Where Indicated

1.4 Paper Path Cleaning

Disconnect Power Cable			Open the printer head by pulling back on the handle

Using Compressed Air, Spray Paper Path Where Indicated

1.5 Print Head / Roller Cleaning

Disconnect Power Cable			Open the printer head by pulling back on the handle

--Do not use solvents OR stiff bristle brushes on surfaces.  Do not let liquid enter the unit.--

!!!CAUTION!!!

The print Head may be hot, DO NOT TOUCH

Using Lint Free Cloth AND Isopropyl Alcohol, Wipe Where Indicated

1.6 Printer Case Cleaning

Disconnect Power Cable			Open the printer head by pulling back on the handle

Using lint Free Cloth, Wipe Surfaces As Shown
